shadow photography

i have a sudden interest in shadow photography..hmm so random i wonder where it came from.its an art of its own and you get to capture images of people or any subject for that matter when the lights are pretty dim.the photography is quite spectacular i must say and most of the time it comes in grey scale..sepia like.
my only problem is i don't actually have a camera that can take such amazing photos..i mean sure i can edit the photos when am done taking them with my PHONE  but nothing quite looks like a well taken pro photo.here are some samples i googled that i really like..

fashion week nairobi style!

i have been searching for fashion shows around nairobi 4 sooo long and quite frankly am so tired *yawn* of looking.i cant wait for the day we'll be having shows more frequently that are affordable and are not held at super exclusive resort like hotals..i mean why the hell should these events seem a million miles beyond reach for ordinary people (READ me)...come on!!
or maybe nairobi fashion week??now that's a gud idea.i mean tanzania has swahili fashion week and their designers are pretty big yet their economy is almost at par with kenya and blah blah blah..so why are we to be left out?i'll start fashion week.oh yes i will!
a toast to nairobi fashion week!

PR

i stumbled upon this oufit from project runway and am still gasping...this is just too outrageous in a gud way!i love this outfit so much so i wouldn't mind wearing it myself.
it was designed by chris march and christian siriano in the en garde challenge pity i cant remember the season.
the skirts are made from tiered silk organza  and pleated and that oversized fan-neck thingy is really the big star!
i sourced this pics from the PR fun page on facebook and projectrungay blog.

new york fashion week fall 2010

am just from seeing the marc jacobs show and quite frankly there was nothing new.
sequins and bold metallics are still the rage with some hints of prints..
when i say print i'm referring to this gorgeous piece of work he featured that had a most fabulous train..now that was divine!
i liked  the graecian-like metalic dress  and that lime green maxi skirt that i so would not wear because of eeh..personal style i guess?
Other than that i don't thick am all for wearing socks with skirts and shoes circa 1920 oh..and let's not forget the fur trims(my part of the world is sunny 90% of the time).
here is a link to what am talkin about.
