Home is where the CAMP is..(Part 2)

While at the Mara we were staying at a really scenic camp site call Tipilikwani (pronounced Tea-pea-li-kwani). It is located right outside the main Mara drive probably 50Km eastwards . The service is great. We were welcomed by a group of Masais and some drinks... The lounge area is beautiful  and dinner is served in candle light. The cottages are beautiful to say the least and you get a trip adviser...

go WILD or go home..(Part 1)

So this has nothing to do with fashion , maybe something to with arts..maybe. I went on a rather short and random round trip around the Mara and I went crazy with the camera (paparazzi style) and that explains why this is a part 1. The photography i did features excursions in the wild, bird watching, food and drink, camp sites and everything in between. Here are some pics of the wild....

A gazelle...these animal are waaay to timid!

a Tom eagle...

Wildebeest ..they were so many literally coloring the landscape brown

Jumbos!

a pride of lions (note the cub)..the heat was overwhelming!

Buffalos

Lone Giraffe.

blue blooded mercineries...

It is rather hard to find someone whose sense of style I can personally relate to so when I discovered Daphne Guinness a while back I was like completely stunned. Her impeccable taste in clothes and how she styles her outfits just makes me really really reeeeaaally admire her. I think when I grow up I wanna be just like her...

I saw a shoot she did for Vogue Italia and although i am still getting round to understanding the concept, I love this shoot. Some pics...

She was a muse to Alexander Mcqueen (the genius) and now has her own fragrance. I love this woman...

Tres Tres chic!

I want to write and give details but the images are loud enough. The shoots of Lady GaGa are from V magazine.Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and style byNicola Formichetti. The bottom two images are shoots whose make-up artist is Kabuki.

rainy days, junk food and reptile instincts..

Nairobi has been pretty grey for the last couple days and I have consequently been indoors for the most part munching hopelessly on junkfood and watching alot of national geographic..hmm? the junk food part is thanks to the fact that everyone at home took random vacations and I have been alone for the last week..Yippee some me time!..So anyway I found some amazing work by Klara Kalicz and decided to share..

does anyone else see the reptilian influence?
