i have no idea where i've been all along..i mean why haven't i ever heard of gareth pugh before?lawd!if i had died before today i think i would have totally short lived my goals...to see the bestest of avant garde fashion ever(after mcqueen of course!).i love this guy's work!where has he been? rather where have i been?

the left one has those victorian ruffs that have made go gaga for the last couple days...i would love to know how to make them! i've been googling around and everything i find is lengthy and complicated but i guess i'll have to learn all  the same.
 the right one is an armoured style dress thingy.

fanning out the heat..

i've been busy running around doing alot and i've been so tired of late.i have come to the point where i wish i could'nt walk but instead the earth would move towards me..that would save on a lot of energy!
anyway i started making some polka dot ruffled neckline top last week and it taking forever to complete it..i hope i finish it..wish me luck:)
i've just seen some really crazy design pieces that i just love so much...u gotta see 'em

i would really love to know how they make those victorian style fan-like collars!they look so adorable i want them.

this is another piece i so admire..that fan thingy at the neckline is gorgeous..up close it looks like that..now isn't that just adorable!

the telephone video gaga vs beyonce

 first of all let me start by saying that i love gaga and beyonce so evertyhing i say is out of love...
that video sucks!its like an infomercial only with more hype music in the background and two well known musicians endorsing their products ...that's out my chest.now for the good part..

hair:    my favourite hairstyle was the one gaga wore that was shaped like a telephone complete with the telephone cord!that was neat.

wardrobe:gaga's leopard print jumpsuit was HOTT!i would wear that right of the shoot.The black studded jacket she wears at the beginning is also hot.

emo vs scene hair

up until yesterday i had no idea there is such a thing as scene hair..i thought all kind of punk looks can be bundled under the emo title..according to my dictionary:

emo:(noun)hair with a punkish edge usually short and chopped
scene:(noun)as above only more colourful.

am actually rockin a scene hairstyle right now and am luvn...some pics(not me!)

i went to the hair parlour (i just had to glamourize  a saloon) the other day* to get my damaged hair washed and straightened after well..forever!the hair dresser was in shock at how much damage my hair had and she kept talking about "growth" in my hair.what was she talkin about?my hair,my real hair,is natural!how is it possible to call it "growth" or was it just a lame excuse to chop of yards of my hair in the name of "split ends"?

so anyway,back to my hair story,i sat for close to half an hour,wait that's an understatement,over half an hour as she blow dryed my hair and by the time i was leaving i was pretty happy with the results...:)

i met a girlfriend of mine barely 20 minutes later and convo went kinda like this:
      me: hey!sorry am late.nice to see you.mwah*hug*
      gf:   me too.what took you so long?
      me:  my hair..
      gf:  oh..it's not so bad,i'll take you to a saloon.

you know i could try shaving...seriously!

i must be the most impulsive fabric whore of the century..i had no idea what i was gonna make when i suddenly had the urge to park up close to 3 metres of ..get this..vinyl material!where on earth am i is supposed to take all this stuff?let alone sew with it..

note to self :DO NOT EVER GO NEAR A FABRIC STORE UNATTENDED.

this fabric is ,i don't know, repulsive maybe?am going to try returning this fabric to the shop i bought it from first thing tommorrow(who created this word?) morning...may good luck go before me.or alternatively i could go with the look below...hmm

i saw this colllection from prada a while back and thought to myself how crazy this collection is...i mean this is the kind of stuff that usually remains in sketch books as you design  but someone decided to let their crazy out and actually make this items and all i have to say to that is ...ROCK AND ROLL baby!

the colours are delicious and i love every inch of this work!every disgusting inch.marry me prada!

life and blah blah blah...

i dyed my hair yesterday so now it's red!not the full head of course only the front part.if i get straightened am sure it will  look the red-headed version of rihanna's do (i wish!).speaking of riri..am really starting to dig into her style!i think i have a girl crush...

it's a saturday and i have no plans for this day so i guess my laptop's gonna give some company..nah!..i think i'll just pick up the phone and surprise someone with lunch.oh,remeber that top i was gonna make?the "thingy"..i tried making an adjusted leg-o-mutton sleeve yesterday and its just plain disaster!should i go on with trials or should i forfeit?hmm..

growing pains..

i started working on this crazy piece last night ..its supposed to be a top but i guess someone mixed up my pattern and i ended up making a "thingy" ..i dont really know what it  is.now i know what your thinking "what were you thinking,i mean could you not see the pattern was messed up?"well no. i was absent minded then.

so i woke today to face the "thingy" and just as i had come up with a new design for it, i stepped on a needle and it jabbed right into my foot, don't ask what i did after that cause it's pretty obvious.am still in pain and am hoping that needle (which i realized was broken at the head) did not break under my skin...am not sewing anymore for now..some TV therapy should help.

sleeve-o-lovin

am suddenly in love with the leg-o-mutton  sleeve.i dont care if its victorian..if its costumy(is that even a word?)..or if its just plain odd..i LOVE this sleeve detail right now and am gonna make sure i create as many tops of this kind as eye-like!and of course post some of these photos soon...some samples for now...xoxo
